What is Compass Aviation English Academy?

Compass Aviation English Academy is a subsidery of Beat Australia which is an international education consultancy specialising in English language programs and in particular English for Aviation Professionals.

Where is Compass Aviation English Academy based?

Compass is based in Osaka, Japan, but provides aviation English services to aviation professionals from all over the world. With the use of internet services and its own unique Flight Deck program, students of aviation English can study from anywhere.

Can anybody study the Flight Deck program or do I have to be in Japan?

No, you do not have to be in Japan. Anybody, from anywhere in the world can study the Flight Deck program. All classes can be held over the internet with a qualified aviation English language expert.

How long are the classes in Flight Deck Pro?

What does Compass Aviation English Academy do?

Compass provides online and face to face English language programs for aviation professionals to help improve their English language communication for the ICAO level 4 proficiency.

How do I pay for the classes?

Each face to face class in Flight Deck Pro is 30-minutes long. Students are provided with a student book. In addition and as part of the Flight Deck Pro program students will also have a provisional English assessment.

Are the teachers qualified to teach aviation English?

Yes, all the Compass teachers are qualified teachers of English to second or non-native speakers. In addition, all teachers have had extensive experience in teaching and testing for the ICAO proficiency level requirements.

Can I start Flight Deck Basic for Free?

Yes you can! Compass offers the Flight Deck Basic program to everyone.

All you have to do is set up your account with a password and you have enroled. It's easy.

Can I have an ICAO English language practice test?

Yes you can! Compass Aviation English Academy offers an online telephone placement test with one of our experienced teachers and is offered for free in both Flight Deck Advanced and Flight Deck Pro.

How much are the courses?

Flight Deck Basic is Free! Here are the costs for the other two courses:

Flight Deck Advanced = ¥20,000 plus tax.

Flight Deck Pro = ¥48,000 plus tax.

Are there any membership or joining fees?

No, there are no additional fees, no memberships for joining the program and no expensive books, CD's and DVD's. Everything is included in the class price.
